Jen Jayden

Singer. Songwriter. Actress. Audiobook narrator. Music Producer.

Hi there, I’m Jen. I’m a native of Maryland, and prior to the pandemic, spent the vast majority of two decades touring the world as a singer and headliner on cruise ships - the latter part with my solo, self produced show that is one part rock concert, meets one part TED talk.  I’ve been extremely blessed to have toured every continent, having made beautiful connections all over the world.

I began playing the piano at age 3, and was raised on my parents love for rock n roll…my dad was always spinning records and some of his favorites were Fleetwood Mac, Zeppelin, The Beatles, and The Eagles, just to name a few. Mom loved Babs. By default I grew up singing and playing all of it, and eventually sprinkled in my own favorites as my palette widened to include classical and jazz. Music infused my heart and soul at a young age and became my focus as I earned my degree in Music Theatre from Elon University and began touring the world in full scale music and theatre productions following graduation. I began songwriting soon after and never stopped. After decades of oozing songs and stories from my veins, I decided it was time to learn how to produce the music I loved - something I now find equally, if not more fulfilling than being in the spotlight. That discovery, along with building my home music studio during the pandemic, paved the way for me to discover and fall in love with audiobook narration.

I’ve always liked to wear many hats. I’ve always been a creator. A writer. A storyteller. A giver of care and love. My goal is to bring that touch of intuition and care to each project, session, or stage I take on, so that clients, audiences and listeners walk away feeling truly satiated emotionally and inspired. This beautiful quote (by the late Jimmy V) has stuck with me for quite some time… “To me there are three things everyone should do every day. Number one is laugh. Number two is think -- spend some time time in thought. Number three, you should have your emotions move you to tears. If you laugh, think and cry, that's a heck of a day.” I couldn’t agree more. Life is short. It doesn’t happen to us…it happens for us, so as long as I’m here I’ll keep striving to make the most of it. I hope you do too. Thanks for taking the time swing by.
