Choosing a teacher is important. Choosing a mentor is what will separate you from everyone else in “class.”
With a degree in Music Theatre from Elon University, over two decades as a professional singer and 15 years as a songwriter, Jen has a wealth of experience to share. Her past students have gone on to garner scholarships in music, become American Idol contenders, and perform on pop music tours and broadway stages. Her fundamental approach to teaching is to "Make every performance believable and honest - everything else...technique and placement... it's all learnable. I may have been trained in classical and jazz, but rock was born in my soul and there was no denying that. Always remember that you should ultimately be heading in the musical direction YOU want to go in, and not the direction your teacher wants you to go."
*Jen takes on a very limited number of students at any given time, based on her availability, and the student's goals. Both Zoom and "in-studio" lessons are an option. Single “help I’m stuck on a particular song” consults are usually easy schedule. “Long term prep” options determined after initial 30 minute consult.
**Jen has conducted music theater workshops, songwriter workshops and has done group vocal lesson workshops. If you are a school, organization or a private voice studio wanting to incorporate a 3 day or 5 day workshop into your curriculum please submit an inquiry for pricing and information.

"I was hired to speak at a 2000 + person business event. It was my largest to date and scared the hec out of me. I was needing some honest feedback, some direction with my storytelling, and help with my overall delivery. What we accomplished in a day blew my mind. It is something I will carry with me the rest of my career. "
